OUR GSTSPATEX SAFETY MATS ARE “SIMPLE APPARATUSES” INTENDED FOR USE IN INTRINSICALLY SAFE SYSTEM, ACCORDING TO WHAT SET BY THE EN 60079-11:2012, ART. 5.7 A STANDARD
The devices do not contain potential sources of ignition of explosive atmospheres, and therefore do not fall within the scope of application of the European Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) (EN 60079-11: 2012, art.5.7).
The internal contacts of the Carpets have been assigned the class of temperature T6 [IEC-EN 60079-11 – Simple Apparatus Form], and can be inserted into intrinsically safe systems with protection level “ia”, for substances in groups IIA, IIB and IIC (flammable gases or vapours) and/or groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC (dusts fuels).
